Republican presidential candidate Rep. Ron Paul (TX) said on CNN’s State of the Union with Candy Crowley Sunday that the issues he has consistently been concerned with, such as the budget deficit and ending the “endless wars,” have now become mainstream issues.
Paul said he was taken more seriously as a presidential candidate now than he was in 2008, noting that “they’re not mocking me now.” He added that most of the potential 2012 Republican candidates were intent on upholding the status quo.
