Yemeni President Saleh received a head injury while fleeing an attack on the presidential palace, according to Al Arabiya.
An opposition TV network reported that the President was killed, but this was a false report.
Four guards were killed and several senior officials including the prime minister and the parliament speaker were injured when the palace was shelled, according to Al Arabiya.
Yemeni officials affirm that the injuries were minor. They say Saleh will hold a press conference later this morning.
